What a great day on the water, I fished with
a regular client and good friend from East
Tennessee on an early 1/2 day trip. We left
Waterfront at 5 AM this morning heading
upriver for an early top water bite. We
started with Spooks but the fish were only
slapping at it so I changed our bait to a
Sammy and the fish just killed it. We lost a
few big fish in the grass but we still
caught several very good ones. When the sun
cleared the ridge the top water bite was
over so we moved to a deep underwater point
and started slinging the big lips this point
was loaded up with big fish. We caught our
first 5 in probably 9 or 10 casts and later
we doubled on a pair of 4 pounders. What a
blast man I like that crankbait!I really
enjoyed spending this morning with a good
Christian friend. Thanks Eddie. I have dates
open for Full or Half Day trips and 3 hr
evening top water trips.
